Bucharest has a climate which is considered to be a “continental climate”, meaning that the winters in the area are somewhat cold and snowy and the summers are warmer and dry.

We normally have all four seasons: spring, summer, autumn and winter.

  • Spring: The rainy season begins in the spring in Bucharest.  Rains are steady and frequent until the summer months, when they become more intermittent but also stronger and more intense. Average temperature is between 17 and 22 degrees Celsius;

  • Summer: Very hot and dry in the summer with temperatures reaching up to 43 degrees Celsius. Average temperature in the summer is around 25 degrees Celsius

  • Autumn: Spring-like rains return again in the fall months. Average temperatures are in the area of 18 degrees Celsius;

  • Winter: normally we have snow (sometimes heavy snow) with an average temperature between -5 and 5 degrees Celsius.
